General description of the project
This is a project for a residential building in the city centre of Cantù. The structure of the building is prefabricated while the building heads, which contain outdoor patios, are made with a three-dimensional structure of metal profiles. In this way, the perfect distribution of flats is combined with the variable element of outdoor spaces, making each flat unique with different perspectives on the garden and the city. The building fits into the urban design visually connecting the axis of modern architecture and that of the historic city.

Description of a step in the construction process
This is a new and innovative application of prefabrication to meet the needs of the residence. Prefabrication has been interpreted as a limitation to the complex needs required by the residence, as a simplification and reduction of innovative possibilities for living spaces. This project re-proposes the theme of prefabrication in an attempt to achieve innovative living spaces. The construction process envisages a prefabricated concrete structure, which is quick to build and has a "dry" construction site, for the flat part, rigorous and attentive to economic parameters, and a structure in metal profiles for the external parts of the residence, balconies, patios and green spaces, open to the surroundings and rich in individuality.
